Answer: Online! We have online booking for your convenience. You can now book anytime, no need to wait for open hours! Choose from available dates and times and select what works best for you. You will receive a confirmation email with the booking details as well as a personal phone call from OTB Rec Therapy to ensure all of your questions are answered and details are sorted.   

Answer: Unfortunately not! At Outside The Box Rec Therapy we understand and empathize with the struggle to meet the leisure needs of all of the residents living in a large facility. We understand first-hand the risks associated with isolation and seek to provide services to address this need, even if only in a small way. We are currently working on plans to offer a "mobile" portrait studio specifically to reach those at-risk residents or those flagged as "failure to thrive".  

Answer: Certainly! Outside The Box Rec Therapy has the necessary education, training and skills to appropriately modify our sessions to meet the individual needs of those with dementia. We often get asked if it would even be appropriate for mom and dad; to which we reply: absolutely! Research has shown that much, if not most, of our communication is non-verbal. The best way to emphasize this is a quote by Maya Angelou: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
